Welcome and thank you for visiting my site! I’m Rob. I am a published author, award winning blogger, qualified London tour guide, and all over enthusiast about the city.
London is my home, the place where I was born and raised. I have been writing about it and taking others around its places, secrets, history, and top spots for many years. It is my pleasure to share it with you!
Writing
I am a published author and I write extensively about London, the city and its history.
I am the author of The Knowledge: Train Your Brain Like a Cabbie, which was published by Quercus in 2018. It features a blend of history, trivia and brain training techniques which were inspired by my own experiences when I was training to be a London black cab driver.
I have contributed to other publications focusing on the people of London and I have written numerous blog and magazine articles. In 2015 Time Out London named me their Expert Blogger of the Year.

Media
I have been interviewed by and appeared in a number of major media publications including The Guardian, and National Geographic. I recently co-presented a programme for BBC Radio 4 called What has Satnav Done to Our Brains, in which we explored the effects of modern technology on the brain.
I have also worked with international TV broadcasters including the BBC, France 5, and NHK, Japan’s national broadcaster. For NHK I contributed to a documentary about the artist Francis Bacon, providing expert information about Bacon’s life, haunts and locations during his time living in London.
