★★★★★ (M. K. Egan)
“Not only does Robert Lordan write competently, he does it eruditely… A wealth of information is to be found between the covers: dozens of aids to memorise information; glossary of cabbie slang; and literally hundreds of facts.”

“If you love London, you will love this book. Set in the context of the sheer hard work necessary to become a black cab driver in London, it takes you on journeys through the city, bringing it alive with sites of social and historical interest, illustrated by beautiful maps… and, to top it all, the author can jolly well write!”
