The first of the new designs features my hand illustrated drawing of a London cab shelter. These famous little huts first appeared on the city’s streets in 1875 to provide cabbies with food, hot drinks and a place to hitch their horse- until then the only place to offer such comforts was the pub!
I lived in Redhill Street NW1 for 12 years, and used to walk up and down Parkway all the time.
Good luck with the mugs, Rob.
Best wishes, Pete.
Many thanks Pete, hope you’re keeping well.
Great to see the cab shelter mugs I remember my dad telling me all about them it’s good to see so many survived do they still get used much? I’m ordering one today
They are still very popular Bill! Although only cab drivers can sit inside, the public are allowed to use the hatch for takeaways. Stay well.
Hi Rob
Fantastic….I love it!!!!
Can I get one please?
